Welcome to Sweetwater ISD... Where the Adventure and Tradition Continue
The Sweetwater Independent School District serves approximately 2,280 students in grades pre-kindergarten through 12 on six campuses; high school, middle school, intermediate school, two elementary schools, and an early childhood center.
Sweetwater ISD is also the fiscal agent for a seven-member county alternative learning center and a nine-member school special education shared service arrangement.
In Sweetwater, excellence is not only a goal, it is a standard. Two elementary campuses are exemplary, one is recognized, and the other campuses are acceptable. Students have opportunities to participate in UIL academic competitions. The fine arts program enjoys outstanding successes, especially in band and choral music. In athletics, teams consistently excel in football, basketball, baseball, track, softball, power lifting, volleyball, golf, and tennis.

WOW! What a year!
Our successes were many and
the list is too long to include here. SISD was well above the state average in nearly all grade levels
and subject areas on this year's TAKS. These scores are still preliminary, but we feel they will
only go higher when they become official.

Words of Wisdom
"In the final analysis, it is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves, that will make them successful human beings." - Ann Landers
