Thirty Sweetwater FFA members traveled to Lubbock to participate in the Texas Tech Leadership Development Event on Wednesday October 28th.
The Senior Chapter Conducting Team consists of Max Zetzman, Kyle Lambert, Ashley Erwin, Cameryn Jones, Sean Morrow, Adam Erwin, Nick Nemir and Shea Burnett. The Sr Skills Teams is Lyndi Locklar, Cameron Fox, Kyle Howard, and Parker Scott. The Jr Skills Team is Elise Lawrence, Whitnee Murff, Kyle McSherry, and Cole Maxwell. There are two Radio Broadcast teams. The first is Kyle Howard, Kaila Boggs and Jessica Bond and the second is Blayne Ferguson, Laura Duclos, and Elizabeth Howe. The Senior Quiz Team is Jessica Bond and Angela Garza. The Jr Quiz Team is Blake Young, Makensey Hayes, Matt Kitchens and Austin Wedin. Creed Speakers are Katie High, Dedra Brown, Sage Nelson, and Amber Archuleta.
The District Leadership Contest will be November 16th in Snyder at Western Texas College. The top two placing teams in each event will advance to the Area Contest in Big Spring at Howard College November 21st and from there the top two teams in each event will advance to the State Contest in Huntsville at Sam Houston State University December 4th and 5th.
