Students of HOBBS responded to an ad in the Sweetwater Newspaper of needed blanket for the troops in Iraq.  In partnership with Sweetwater Federal Teachers Federal Credit Union blankets were delivered to Dyess Air Force Base for delivery to the troops in Iraq. Also, baby wipes, and other materials were taken to Dyess Air Force Base for the troop’s  in Iraq and Afghanistan. The blankets were for the injured troops who are being flown back to the states. On many flights these airplanes do not have heating and the blanket provided needed warmth for wounded soldiers. The students organized and made 25 tie blankets and   boxes of baby wipes and other goods as a donation to the troops.
